We currently use the services of Capita Education Resourcing, who act as an Umbrella Body for the CRB, to assist with the process of Disclosure Applications for our Support Staff. ..................................................................................................................................................... If you are looking for an Umbrella Body to process disclosure applications for your own staff then please click on the LINK below for the CRB Website and follow the links to UMBRELLA BODIES. Below is some information to assist you when applying for a Disclosure. We can also provide you with information etc on how to register with the new Independant Safeguarding Authority (ISA) which goes live as from 12th October 2009. Anyone working or carrying out volunteer work with children and / or vulnerable adults in a regulated activity will have to register with the ISA. Further information on the ISA can be viewed on the CRB website (link below).
To apply for a Disclosure, you will need to complete a Disclosure Application Form. This will be available from the Umbrella Body. You will need to produce current ID Documentation (see below), these need to be originals and not Photocopies. You will also need to provide address details for the past 5 years. Type of ID we will need to see:

*documentation should be less than three months old. ** issued within past 12 months. A new Disclosure Check should be carried out if a person moves to a new area (ie, Yorkshire to Devon etc) even if they have a current Disclosure. A request for a new Disclosure should also be actioned if their current disclosure is more than 3 years old.
