What is a CSCS Card?

A Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) card is the easy way to prove that you are competent in your occupation and have Health & Safety awareness. Its the size of a credit card with your photo and a unique reference number on it. The card will need to be presented as instant identification when you arrive on sites. The card also lists the holder's qualifications and is valid for either three or five years.

Why do I need a CSCS Card?

You will need a CSCS card to work in Construction. Some of the main benefits are:

  • It helps workers to gain employment on more sites.
  • It's an easy way for workers to prove their skills.
  • It raises the general quality of workmanship on site.
  • It improves Health & Safety awareness across the industry.
  • Employers have safe and competent labour.
